π± Xplor Playground/Home Parent Information
We have developed these articles to help families understand how Woodland Educators and Teachers use Xplor Playground/Home.
Xplor Playground is an application and educational tool for Woodland educators and teachers to complete learning observations and stories of children. The Woodlands teachers and educators share these learning observations, which include a photo/photos and videos that are linked to the Australian Approved Learning Frameworks. The learning observation is shared with parents via the Xplor Home App.
πββοΈπββοΈ What is a learning observation?
Learning Observation in Woodlands Long Day Care and Kindergarten settings is the method of watching, listening, documenting and analysing children as they explore, play and learn. Monitoring childrenβs physical actions, expressions, gestures and behaviours and listening to them talking and interacting with others will show how they are developing, their likes and dislikes and how they learn through their play and interactions. It also reveals more about the child as an individual and how they interact with other children and adults.
β Please Note:
- You may receive more pictures on particular days than on other days, and you may receive fewer pictures. Woodland teachers and educators are qualified educational personnel who will determine the appropriate quantity of learning observations, including information to be shared with families via the Xplor Horm App. The content of these learning observations and information is purely related to child development and learning.
- In the extreme circumstances of a child's individual needs, requirements, and medical requirements, the below will be adapted to support the child and family. Our Campus Leadership Team will assess and work with the teachers and educators to adjust the below use of the Xplor playground for specific children.
